The Approach

Preventative. SmartCaller Trust registers your numbers as verified business numbers across the entire U.S. telco ecosystem (over 850 carriers), protecting them from spam and scam tagging before it starts.

Reactive. The systems score, caps calls, monitors, and quarantines numbers, then responds after a number has been flagged.

What You Do

Let Vanillasoft register your numbers. That’s it. No dashboard to watch, no call caps to manage, no numbers to rest or replace. In the rare event a number is tagged from a direct consumer complaint, an appeal is filed automatically. If a carrier rejects it, VanillaSoft swaps in a new protected number for you.

On most base tiers: monitor risk ratings, respond to alerts, manage per-number daily call caps, and remediate flagged numbers manually. On the top tier, rotation and remediation are automated for an additional cost. Either way, it’s a system that needs tending, purchased separately from your seats.

When Protection Happens

Before the first call. Registration removes the ambiguity that carrier flagging algorithms act on, so no call is wasted discovering if a number has gone bad.

After the flag. Frequency of detection checks are based on tier. Reputation damage between checks is invisible and the calls placed in that window are burned.

Spam detection usually limited to sepcific networks. For example, Spam Guru currently only covers AT&T and Samsung devices. So, a number can look healthy in the dashboard while displaying “Spam Likely” to subscribers of other carriers.

What Happens to Flagged Numbers

Registration is built to prevent the flag from happening at the carrier level. The rare exception is handled for you via automatic appeal, and a protected replacement if needed.

The number is quarantined and benched. Clearing the flag is your job on the base tiers; automating usually requires more expensive upgrades.
